“Love is the way. It guides us through life - with empathy we understand and with compassion we act. Through Love, we show our young how to navigate the world, and show the elderly what to cherish while they can. Love is the beacon, the light when the world is dark. Darius gives us his love, and in return, we love the world.
Love is the way.”
- From the poem “Love is the Way”

Darius is known as the God of Love and Passion. It is said that Darius's love extends to all, and His power permeates all things. Likewise, worshipers of Darius express their love for others on a daily basis. Disciples of Darius are known to be caring and compassionate individuals, with a penchant for patience, understanding, and a desire for peace.

Followers of Darius believe in the importance of happiness; that it is important to love the life you live, and live the life you love. Life is short, and we must do all we can in order to make the most of it. His followers often throw themselves in the things that bring them joy, pursuing their passions with great fervor and zeal. For some, this means working to improve the lives of themselves or those around them. Others may find passion in more hedonistic practices.

While most worshipers of Darius may exhibit a desire for peace, many of His followers also express the importance of being ready to protect what you love. Many will do what they can to heal or save the fallen. Others believe that love is expressed best by fighting any threats to those you love. His followers know better than most that there are things in this world worth fighting for, even dying for. Fueled by love and compassion, and guided by a willingness to do what they must to protect what they love, Darius worshipers are known to show tremendous courage, strength, and ferocity in the face of adversity.

There is a large Temple to Darius in Firatep. One of the most well-known organizations is the monastic “Order of the Heart” who tend to the Temple in Firatep. Master Sirdinius Dresdika is currently the head of the Order of the Heart.

A small, albeit popular, Temple south of the Greenwood, is a common stop for travelers. Called Mother’s Respite, it often operates as an inn for travelers, but is largely an orphanage founded by three mothers who lost their children in the First Surge. The building itself had been a place of Darius worship long before they brought it to life once again.

There is also a well-known temple to Darius in Barulis called simply, The Chapel. It functions primarily as a hall for weddings or other bondings between people. Set outside The Chapel on the beautiful coastline, The Arch of Unbreakable Vows, is ornately carved from sandstone and glass. There, weather allowing, large families can gather to witness prominent clergy bind lovers together with Darius's blessings. They are quite busy nearly every day of the year, and one must book at least 2 years in advance.

Darius’s colors are red and blue, and His symbol is overlapping colored circles.
